Divorce, Custody, Legal Decision-Making, and Parenting Time Mediation
Going to court is helpful if the parties have genuine disputes that they cannot work out between themselves. However, if the parties can make agreements, that is always better than a judge making a decision. Remember, in mediation, you can agree to resolve your disputes in ways that a judge might not allow. Keep in mind, if you do not agree, you will have a trial, which will likely be less than one day, for the judge to decide what will happen with your children and property.
Perhaps you should consider mediation.
The Harding Firm Provides Divorce Mediation in Gilbert, AZ
Kina Harding is an Arizona mediator pursuant to Arizona Revised Statute § 25-406(c) which requires a basic 40-hour family mediation course or a 40-hour mediation course with a 20-hour advanced family mediation training, including six hours of domestic violence training and six hours of child abuse training.
We offer mediations for parties who would like to settle all, or part of their issues. The parties, or the parties with their attorneys, can hire Attorney Harding to mediate all of their issues. Attorney Harding received her basic mediation training and her Advanced Family Mediation. Most mediations at The Harding Firm result in a full or partial agreement.
If both parties agree to mediation, they can call The Harding Firm to see if mediation at The Harding Firm will be a good fit for the parties. If the parties agree that The Harding Firm is a good fit, the parties will agree on a day and time, and payment arrangements. Both parties will submit a memorandum (letter) to Attorney Harding, that the other party will not see, and explain what they want and their positions on the disputed matters. This memorandum will be submitted one week before the scheduled mediation. Attorney Harding will review both parties’ memorandums before the mediation. The parties will be responsible for bringing a copy of all supporting documentation to the mediation.
See this blog post for more details regarding what happens the day of mediation.
